Hi friends! In case you couldn’t tell, I LOVE food. Cooking it, talking about it, taking pictures of it, and of course, EATING IT!! Sadly, during college I did a little too much of the latter (okay a lot too much)…but after starting with exercise and healthier eating habits, I was able to naturally lose 60 pounds (!!!) Once I hit my goal weight, I started to become more lax with new lifestyle and ended up gaining back 40 of those L-B’s.
Sooo, yeah…here we are now…
Because I LOVE food, I’m not the type of person who can just eat salads and gnaw on celery all day (kudos to those of you who enjoy that! Personally I didn’t know celery existed without peanut butter and raisins on it…) But, because I want…and need…to live a healthier lifestyle, I can’t stuff my face every day with mashed potatoes and queso dip (again) because I’ve already seen where that road ends (a whole lot of tight jeans and drowsiness).
That being said, I would love to organize a collection of natural, healthy, easy to make recipes that are FULL of flavor but short on calories!
I currently work in healthcare, and the years of studying math and science have suppressed the creative side of my brain which is now SCREAMING for a release! I truly love cooking, writing and photography so what better way to combine that trio than by creating a food blog!
Confession: I have NO idea what I am doing. I know less than nothing about creating a website, writing a blog entry, creating recipes, or taking quality pictures that involve more than my iPhone and an instagram filter. But everyone has to start somewhere, right?
I plan to fail (a lot). I plan to learn (a lot). And most of all I plan to ENJOY and share every step (and bite) of the way!
