Big Green EggGrilling season is upon us!! I love summer because I love to cook out and be outside as much as possible. My husband and his brother are grill aficionados, and when they grill, it's serious business. I'm talking charcoal, seasonings, injections, up at 4 am to put the meat on, make-a-day-out-of-it kind of grillers. When they grill, it's always an allllll day event. Their meats usually take anywhere from 4-10 hours to smoke, and they're no strangers to adding side dishes to the grill as well (umm....hellooo smoked mac and cheese, I love you!)

Seriously, it's phenomenal. I wish you could all come sit on our deck with us to witness what a science this is. Before meeting these men, "grilling out" to me meant throwing some hot dogs or chicken on a propane grill and eating them within the hour. Don't get me wrong, I still love a quick grilled hot dog, but the flavor that you get from the amount of seasoning and time spent smoking is in-cred-ib-leeee. Andrew smoking onions on big green egg When I started "Cuts and Crumbles," they were more than supportive and willing to contribute their tips, tricks, recommended tools, and recipes to my blog. I am really excited about this segment of my website, because I think they have such a unique and expert approach towards grilling and the food is always sooo good. So now we can share it so that you can make it, too!

Since I know absolutely nothing about grilling (other than how to hold down the chair and enjoy the amazing scents), all of these recipes are provided by the guys. I am solely relying on them for the ingredients, amounts, temperatures, timing, etc. That being said, you will likely notice a difference between my recipes and theirs. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and ask! I will ask the guys and get back to you ASAP!

I hope you enjoy these recipes and give them a shot! BBQ their way may be time-consuming but the smoked meat is so worth it! Don't be scared of the process, purchase the recommended tools you don't already have, and enjoy the ride! (It's a tasty one, I promise!)

So without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to The BBQ Brothers! Matthew is on the left and Andrew (my hubby! 🙂 ) is on the right!

Thank you for your guidance as I’m a first time smoker. I’m cooking your Bacon Explosion.
      Looking good.
Would be interested to hear about glazes.
