I wanted to create a name that would truly reflect the goals of my blog. Since this is all about my journey of learning how to cook, blog and photograph I know there will be a lot of ups and downs (i.e. CRUMBLES) along the way! Additionally, I strive to create and share a collection of healthy, low calorie recipes to help with weight loss goals. I share decadent recipes that are full of flavor AND low cal (i.e. doing my best to CUT calories). Finally, no weight loss journey is complete without exercise, and I am a huge fan of boxing! While I throw a mean right hook, we can give a shout out to the upperCUTS as well! 🙂
Now because life is life, I will occasionally make recipes that aren’t quite healthy (okay let’s be real…sometimes I want to make chocolate peanut butter cup chocolate chip brownies drizzled with peanut butter and chocolate syrup then topped with chocolate shavings and dipped in hot chocolate) and I want to be able to share some of those recipes as well! To prevent distracting (tempting) readers who are searching for healthy, low cal options, you can find the healthier recipes under CUTS and the not so healthy (okay, downright unhealthy) recipes under CRUMBLES. The Cuts recipes all have complete nutritional information included!
In addition to the Cuts and Crumbles recipes, you may also notice a third category on the blog called “The BBQ Brothers.” While this section is still part of Cuts and Crumbles, the recipes are all created and written by my husband and his brother who are absolute grill masters! The road to a healthier lifestyle can be filled with a lot of CUTS and CRUMBLES but hopefully together we can make the journey a little easier (and tastier)! 🙂
