Hello! Thanks for stopping by to learn more about the blog name Cuts and Crumbles!
In 2016, I started my food blog by first scratching down some various ideas for the name. My mission was to create a title that would truly reflect my goals.
My primary intention with my blog was to create and share a delicious collection of simple, healthy, low-calorie recipes that are full of flavor AND low in calories (i.e. doing my best to CUT calories). I began my journey as a true novice in cooking, blogging, and photography so I knew there will be a lot of ups and downs (i.e. CRUMBLES) along the way!
Although my primary goal is to share healthified dishes, I'm not perfect and my diet definitely is not perfect either! This means I also wanted to be able to share some of my favorite not-so-healthy dishes! (Okay let's be real...sometimes I want to indulge in stuffing and mashed potatoes crammed into bacon cups--yep, that's a recipe I posted on here)
So to prevent distracting (read: tempting) my readers who are searching for healthy, low-calorie options, you can find the healthier recipes organized under THE CUTS and the not so healthy (okay, downright unhealthy) recipes under THE CRUMBLES.
(PS: The Cuts recipes all have complete nutritional information included to make your health needs even easier! The Crumbles do not contain nutritional information because you don't even wanna know...)
In addition to the Cuts and Crumbles recipes, you may also notice a third category on the blog called "The BBQ Brothers." While this section is still part of Cuts and Crumbles, these recipes are all created and written by my husband and brother-in-law who are absolute grill masters! You can learn more about them here, and if you're not quite master status level yet, you can find their beginner's guide to grilling here!
So that's the story of how I developed the name Cuts and Crumbles! Thanks for reading! 🙂 If you'd like to learn more about me, check out the About Caitlin page!
